Frequently Asked Questions
What is new in the lastest version of Diamond Scheduler?
The current version is 6. It is *Windows 8, Windows 7 and Vista-compatible and supports many export formats, including Google Calendar, iCal and Microsoft Outlook. If you would like to view a list of all the changes made for each version, see the Version History.
*Diamond Scheduler 6 appears to run fine on Windows 8. How do I use Diamond Scheduler
This one is pretty easy. You have to spend at least a few minutes understanding the principles of scheduling with the program. You have several options including watching an introductory movie or reading the tutorial that comes with the program (click on the Windows Start button, choose All Programs > Diamond Scheduler > How to Schedule.
Do you ever enhance the program or fix reported bugs?
Quite often; see the Version History.
May I have the program on multiple computers in the league?
Yes. You may have the program on up to three computers, as long as you're solely sharing the password within your league. You may not, however, share the password with anyone outside your league and no person within the league may use the password for a different league. It is a league-specific password.
Since the demo doesn't allow one to export reports to HTML, what do those reports look like?
You can see some sample reports here: Sample HTML Reports
How many teams can I schedule with Diamond Scheduler?
There is a limit of 30 teams per division on round robin scheduling. If your scheduling needs require you to schedule more, you can over-ride the 30-team limit. However, greater than 30 teams is not officially supported. Up to 16 teams can be scheduled using single or double elimination brackets.
Why do I get security warnings in Windows 8, 7 and Vista
When you go to install Diamond Scheduler on your computer you may receive a security warning that the publisher cannot be verified and the file does not contain a digital signature. In addition, when you run the program, you may receive a warning asking if you want to give a program from Sumtotal Systems permission to make changes to your computer. This is normal for Diamond Scheduler in Windows 7 and Vista. If you want a detailed explanation of why this happens, read a bit more about digital code signing elsewhere on the site.
Note: If you're a past user of Diamond Scheduler and would like to upgrade, see if you qualify for a discount on version 6.
